Malacañang suspended government work and classes at all levels in Metro Manila in light of the inclement weather.

Meanwhile, Hanna was located 870 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon at 4 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 135 km/h.

It was moving west northwestward at 20 km/h.
