MALACANANG suspended government work and classes in all levels in the National Capital Region on Tuesday after due to the heavy and continuous rainfall that bought flooding in Metro Manila and nearby areas.
The said heavy downpour was due to the effects of Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
Executive Lucas Bersamin confirmed to reporters the issuance of Proclamation No. 57.
This suspends government work and classes in all levels in Metro Manila beginning 2:00 p.m. today, July 23.
The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of the respective offices.
