From Tondo to Cebu, Filipinos celebrate Feast of Sto. Niño

by Carl Santos

SEVERAL communities in the country celebrated the Feast of Sto. Niño on Sunday.

Processions, street dancing, and Masses marked the celebration in honor of the image of child Jesus in Tondo, Manila, Quezon City, and Cebu City, home of the famous Sinulog Festival.

In his message, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged devotees of Sto. Niño ”to translate your faith into action so that you may spread the message of hope, love, and joy to others. ”

”Most importantly, always pray for spiritual strength and fortitude to overcome whatever challenges and difficulties may lie ahead,” the President said.

“Looking forward, I ask all of you to work hand in hand with this administration in maximizing all of the opportunities that will come before us in this New Year,” he said.
