THE Department of Transportation (DOTr) along with Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Ports Agency (PPA) deployed free shuttle services for stranded passengers in major routes in Metro Manila.
In a Facebook post by the DOTr, shuttle services will be deployed for stranded passengers amid the heavy rain and flood.
“Muling iniutos ng Pangulo ang pagde-deploy ng mga bus at truck ng DOTr, PCG, at PPA ngayong araw mula 7-10am at 5-8pm para sa mga pasaherong kailangan pa ring bumiyahe sa gitna ng mga pag-ulan at pagbaha.” DOTr captioned.
The following routes listed for the shuttle services are as followed:
- Quiapo to Angono, Rizal
- Quiapo to Fairview, Quezon City
- Lawton to Alabang, Muntinlupa City
- Philcoa to Fairview, Quezon City

Following the heavy rainfall and flooding across parts of Metro Manila, the DOTr stated the aid measure is aimed to ensure the safety of commuters.
They also added that these free rides were intended for essential travel.
Yesterday, DOTr had also implemented their free shuttle services for stranded passengers in Metro Manila that started at 12:00 noon.
Due to the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and the low pressure area, various areas in and out NCR submerged on floods.
The flood had also made some parts of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) not passable for all type of vehicles, leaving commuters stranded on northbound trips.
