BY the end of March, the public is advised by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to expect heavy traffic during the rehabilitation of EDSA.
According to DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon, the agency is working with relevant government entities to prepare steps to alleviate the anticipated high traffic volume.
He stated that the heavy traffic flow is inevitable when the EDSA is rehabilitated especially since the rehabilitation will be within the entire EDSA.
Dizon said that the upcoming repairs EDSA could begin in April.
A segment of the rehabilitation will start in the northbound portion from Quezon City/Caloocan to the boundary of Monumento as stated by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)
Following the major rehabilitation of EDSA, the DPWH-NCR is also actively preparing to implement the rehabilitation works by segment starting from the EDSA bus lane, one lane at a time.
