BREAKING: Armed men raid LTFRB Chief Guadiz house

by Kiko Cueto

LAND Transportation, Franchising and Regulatory Board Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III confirmed that armed individuals entered their home on Wednesday evening “traumatizing” his family and 91-year-old mother.

“Our family is still reeling from a recent incident [December 13, 2023] where armed individuals entered our home. This traumatic experience, especially for my 91-year-old mother, has left us deeply unsettled,” Guadiz said in a statement.

Authorities are now investigating the matter.

“In my role as the Chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), I am fully cooperating with authorities to investigate the matter,” he added.

Guadiz recalls that intrusion involved three cars and over ten armed assailants.

“It, appears to be more than a routine robbery – it seems personal, and the motive remains unclear,” he added.

Guadiz said that”while this incident has shaken our family, I remain committed to my responsibilities at the LTFRB, and I am confident that justice will be served. Updates on the investigation will be provided as they become available.”
