Airports ready for holiday travel

by Carl Santos

AIRPORTS across the country have added security measures and deployed more personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and convenient operations amid the influx of passengers this holiday season.

In a statement, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the airports under its supervision will also see more police personnel.

Malasakit Help Desks are also stationed at passenger arrival and departure areas to provide travelers with assistance.

CAAP reminded travelers not to bring prohibited items to the airport and to stow all belongings in one’s carry-on baggage for faster processing at the screening checkpoints.

The agency expects 2.2 million passengers to pass through its airports this December.
