New music from Ariana, Selena, Miley coming out this Friday

by Joanna Deala

HAVE you been waiting for new songs from American pop stars Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus? Well, prepare to have your ears blessed with their impeccable vocals as they are set to release new songs.

All three singers will be dropping new tracks on August 25.

While fans hope to hear collaborative songs from them, the three former Disney channel leads will be dropping their own singles separately for now.

So what are these songs that their fans can look forward to?

Used To Be Young

It’s been five months since Cyrus dropped her eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation. But the singer-songwriter said that her comeback in the music industry won’t end with the album’s release.

The 30-year-old pop star announced on X that she would release a new single titled Used to Be Young, a song she dedicates to her “loyal fans.”

Cyrus shared a 30-second trailer of Used To Be Young, which opens with the artist walking in a red Mickey Mouse leotard. There were also clips of her during an apparent sit down interview.

The Wrecking Ball singer said there would be a “retrospective interview,” where she would share stories about the “first 30 years of my life in honor of U2BY.”

She relayed a message to her fans.

“I love YOU for loving every version of ME,” she said.

Cyrus also said that there would be a “Backyard Sessions” of Endless Summer Vacation, scheduled to air on Thursday on ABC.

The singer-songwriter has been teasing her track Used To Be Young with posters that her fans, collectively known as Smilers, have spotted in various countries, including Japan and Belgium.

She also shared a video of her cryptic posters on Instagram along with the caption “I know I used to be crazy. I know I used to be fun. You say I used to be wild. I say I used to be young.”

Single Soon

A few hours before Cyrus’ new song announcement, Gomez revealed on X that she would be releasing a new song in response to her fans’ request.

The Lose You to Love Me singer is working on a new album called SG3, but since Selenators are excited about her comeback, the 31-year-old decided to “put out a fun little song.”

Gomez said she would be releasing Single Soon, which she wrote a while back and which she said is “perfect for the end of summer.”

Gomez and Cyrus had funny reactions after learning that they’re both releasing songs on August 25.

On Instagram, the two former Disney channel stars shared photos of their scene from the teen sitcom Hannah Montana, where their characters were rivals. They specifically captured scenes from their hilarious argument during a telethon, where they both roasted each other’s songs over the phone while seated beside each other.

While they were rivals in the sitcom, the two singers gave a shout out to each other about their singles on Instagram.

Gomez mentioned Cyrus in her Instagram story, saying, “We have been friends since we USED TO BE YOUNG.”

Cyrus also tagged Gomez in her Instagram story, saying “[Gomez] and I are both dropping our new SINGLEs SOON… I say we #UsedToBeyYoung.”

Yours Truly deluxe edition

Grande will have a week-long celebration of the 10th year of her debut album Yours Truly.

As part of the celebration, she will offer a deluxe digital release of Yours Truly, along with live performances of Honeymoon Avenue and Daydreamin,’ on August 25, Friday

Grande will then follow this with the first part of her Q&A and the release of a merch capsule on Saturday, and then a live performance of Baby I on Sunday.

Arianators will see the second part of her Q&A on Monday, along with a vinyl pre-order.

There will be live performances of Tattooed Heart and Right There on Tuesday, followed by a live performance of The Way and “some behind-the-scenes stuff we found” on Wednesday.

In an Instagram story, Grande said the deluxe digital release would feature “the Live from London, updated versions of the songs we performed from Yours Truly.”

She added that she could not wait for Arianators to hear the new edition, which is a “healing and special project” for her.
