NCT DREAM to hold back to back Manila concert

FILO NCTzens, this is not a drill!

One of the subunit’s of South Korean boyband NCT is set to return to Manila for a two-day concert this April.

NCT DREAM, composed of members Jaemin, Jisung, Jeno, Renjun, Haechan, Chenle, and Mark Lee, will be coming back to bring its NCT DREAM THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM tour to the Philippines.

The group announced the schedule through its social media platforms.

The concert will take place on April 29 and 30. Additional concert details, including the venue, ticket prices, and selling dates, have yet to be announced by the organizer.

The Philippines will be NCT DREAM’s 19th stop. The seven-piece group will also hold shows in various countries including South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, France, Germany, United States, Singapore, Macau, and Malaysia.

This is the second time that the NCT subunit will be meeting their Philippine fans for a live show. The group held its The Dream Show in February 2020 at the New Frontier Theater.

NCT DREAMS’ second Manila concert will be handled by SM Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment Limited, and PULP Live World.

Who is NCT DREAM?

This subunit from one of the hottest KPop boy groups was formed by SM Entertainment in 2016.

According to SM Entertainment, NCT DREAM was initially intended to be the teenaged unit of NCT with an admission-and-graduation system, where members would leave the group after reaching the age of the majority before its rebranding in 2020.

The NCT DREAM members are all part of the 23-piece group NCT, which is divided into four subunits – NCT U, NCT 127, WayV, and NCT Dream.

NCT DREAM has been able to collect several awards since it was launched. These include the Daesang or Grand Prize award during the 2023 Seoul Music Awards, Worldwide Fan Choice awards for the 2021 and 2022 MAMA Awards, and Record of the Year award for Hot Sauce during the 2022 Seoul Music Awards.

Jaemin, Jisung, Jeno, Renjun, Haechan, Chenle, and Mark Lee popularized the songs BOOM, We Go Up, Beatbox, and Candy.

The group recently released a single album called Best Friend Ever  with tracks Glitch mode  and another one bearing the same name as the album.
