From showing off her dance skills on TikTok, actress Marian Rivera continues to make waves on the internet, this time by being the first recipient of the Preview Style Icon award.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen attended the annual Preview Ball held at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on Friday.
She graced the event wearing a white satin dress from Shona Joy, paired with a white Schiaparelli padlock jacket.
The actress also wore jewelry from Pomellato, Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels and sported a Louis Vuitton handbag.
In naming her as its Style Icon recipient, Preview said that Marian has “evolved into an undeniable force in fashion, always impressing onlookers with her effortless chicness—just like how she graced this year’s event in a sleek and elegant designer ensemble.”
Marian said she felt “blessed” to be recognized as the first recipient of the Preview Style Icon award.
“Thank you for the honor and for encouraging me to always express myself through fashion,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday.
The actress has been gracing the fashion magazine’s covers since January 2008. This was followed by a Barbie-themed cover shoot in June 2009 and four different bridal covers in January 2015.
Last year, she graced the cover of Preview’s December issue, where she wore a custom black gown by Ehrran Montoya.
Preview described Marian as “the truest definition of a classic” in its December 2022 Instagram post. It was also in the same year that she was recognized as one of the Best Dressed honorees.
Stars at the Preview Ball 2023
More actors and actresses also walked the Preview Ball 2023 black carpet.
These include celebrity couple James Reid and Issa Pressman, Xian Lim, Julia Barretto, Camille Prats, Sam Pinto, Chie Filomeno, Bianca Umali, and Coleen Garcia, among others.
Social media influencers Bella Racelis, Mimiyuuuh, Sassa Gurl, and Niana Guerrero also attended the event.
A TikTok collab?
Marian and Niana had a quick interaction at the ball, where the two complimented each other’s dancing skills.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the two stars were asked about collaborating on a TikTok dance video.
“Parang kailangan ko muna mag-practice ng mga ilang buwan bago kami mag-collab,” the renowned actress said.
Niana, meanwhile, said they might drop a collaboration video “soon.”
Niana is known for her viral dance challenges on TikTok, which got noticed not only by local stars but also international artists, including K-pop idols.
The sought-after actress, meanwhile, has recently been trending on the internet because of her TikTok dance videos.
On Sunday, Marian uploaded her latest TikTok dance video, where she was seen grooving to Rihanna’s If It’s Lovin’ That You Want.
The dance video was apparently filmed during the Preview Ball 2023, as she was clad in the all-white outfit she wore during the event.
