Love the Philippines tourism slogan

‘Love the Philippines’ is the country’s new tourism slogan

by Carl Santos

The Philippines unveiled a new tourism slogan on Tuesday as the global travel industry continues to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new slogan, ”Love the Philippines,” was introduced during an event to celebrate 50 years of Philippine tourism at the Manila Hotel, which was attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

It replaced “It’s More Fun in the Philippines,” which had been the country’s tourism slogan since 2012.

”The main change, first of all, is that the focus of the Department of Tourism will be to highlight the heart and soul of the Filipino that is evident in our culture—our festivals, our food, the local products of our small and medium enterprises, our living cultural heritage, everything that makes us diverse and unique,” Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said at a news conference in Malacañang on May 16.

”We are putting forth the best of the best of the Philippines to the world. Because it cannot be denied that we do give the world our best,” she added.

The country aims to attract 4.8 million international visitors this year.
