WHAT a lucky fan!

The South Korean boy group Seventeen recently released a new single under one of its subunits that features a rapper who happens to be one of its avid fans.

One of Seventeen’s subunit, BSS, or the acronym for BooSeokSoon, reunited on Monday to drop its first single album called SECOND WIND. This album is composed of three songs namely Fighting, LUNCH, and 7PM.

The SVT BSS album is a collaboration between Norwegian artist Peder Elias and South Korean female rapper Lee Youngji, who is also a Carat or a Seventeen fan.

Fans were in awe when the three-piece subunit composed of Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan, released the official music video for their song Fighting featuring Youngji.

Fighting is an energetic pop song with an exciting funk rhythm that exhibits the thirst for living of those in the modern era.

SVT fans also praised their “Carat representative” for killing the rap part after the second chorus, which includes several Seventeen references and showcases her exceptional skills.

Carats on Twitter also envied Youngji for living the ultimate fangirl dream. According to them, Youngji literally went from stanning Seventeen and her bias, Hoshi, to being featured in one of the group’s subunits.

Meet Youngji

Lee Youngji is one of the most prominent internet personalities and rappers in South Korea. She gained attention from Knetz after being the first-ever female champion of the renowned rap competition Show Me The Money in 2012.

Who is Seventeen?

This KPop boy group debuted in 2015 with its extended play 17 Carat. The EP made history for being the longest-charting Korean album in the United States.

SVT is composed of thirteen members, including S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino.

The group is best known for its songs WORLD, HOT, and Darl+ing.
