One of the biggest KPop boy groups, Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS, released jaw-dropping teasers for the forthcoming “photo-folio” project of the band’s lead rapper and main dancer j-hope.

This came after his solo mini documentary series announcement for the streaming site Disney+, called j-hope IN THE BOX, which will air on February 17.

In a WeVerse notice, the group revealed that j-hope’s photo-folio was based on the rapper’s idea, “focusing an ambiguous interpretation of meeting a new hope and shedding light on the unseen aspects” of the BTS member.

This project will be called Special 8 Photo-Folio Me, Myself and j-hope ‘All New Hope’ and will be released officially on March 13.

ARMYs, BTS’ fandom name, will be able to witness a new version of j-hope as he strips away his usual street cool and joyful look in this 80-page photo book. The book comes with a mini poster, a folded poster, a stamp, a photo card, a random photo card, and a swing card.

“Through the contrast between light and dark, it embodies a fragile, risky existence breaking away from himself and being reborn as an irreplaceably strong existence after meeting a new hope,” BTS wrote on WeVerse.

BTS also shared a glimpse of some of the photos of j-hope that are included in the photo-folio.

Photo-folio series

The world-renowned boy group also announced that all members will be releasing their versions to complete the photo-folio series. However, the exact release dates and concepts are yet to be revealed to the public.

Aside from j-hope, BTS has six other members, namely Jin, Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

Together, the seven-piece band co-write and co-produce the majority of their material, including hit songs Spring Day (2017), DNA (2018), Dynamite (2020), and Butter (2021).

Solo gigs

While BTS is currently on hiatus to allow the members to fulfill their mandatory military service duties, group members have been continuously working on their solo gigs and activities. These include collaborations with other music artists and fashion brands.
