LIST: Concerts by international artists to be held in PH

2023 WAS an event-filled year for Filipinos, with many international artists visiting the country to hold their fan meets, concerts and even a star-studded awarding ceremony that was attended by local and foreign artists.

For Pinoy fans, these events made the year more memorable as they got to see their idols perform live on stage and interact with them.

More memories will surely be created this new year as dozens of international artists, including Korean idols, are set to visit the Philippines for their respective concerts.

So get yourself and your pockets ready because here’s the list of musical events 2024 has in store for you:

January

  • Super Junior’s Yesung (January 6)

2024 will kick off with Super Junior member Yesung bringing his “Unfading Sense” solo concert on January 6 to the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. 

“Unfading Sense” marks Yesung’s first solo concert in the country. He last visited Manila in July 2023 for Super Junior’s fan party at the Araneta Coliseum.

  • SEVENTEEN (January 13 and 14)

13-member Korean boy group SEVENTEEN is set to meet Filipino CARATs in their two-day concert on January 13 to 14 at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.

This Philippine show is part of their “Follow” tour. It was originally scheduled for one day only but concert organizer Live Nation added another day due to high demand.

The Manila leg of their “Follow” tour follows SEVENTEEN’s last concert in the country titled “Be The Sun,” which was held in Manila and Bulacan in 2022.

  • Mark Tuan (January 14)

January will be a good time for Filipino AHGASEs to leave their nest because Mark Tuan is set to fly to the country for his “The Other Side” tour on January 14 at the SM North Edsa Skydome.

Tuan is the final member of K-pop boy group GOT7 who will hold a solo performance in the Philippines. The seven-member group is focusing on their solo careers as two of their members–Jay B and Jinyoung–are serving their mandatory military duties.

  • Coldplay (January 19)

British rock band Coldplay will return to the Philippines for the Manila leg of their “Music of the Spheres” world tour which will be held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on January 19.

The band’s upcoming concert will be their first visit to the country in seven years, following their last Manila performance for their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour in 2017.

  • NCT 127 (January 21)

Filipino Czennies have already secured their tickets for the “Neo City – The Unity” concert of K-pop boy group NCT 127. The musical event is scheduled on January 21 at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.

The nine-member group’s last performance in the country was during their “NEO CITY: THE LINK” concert in September 2022.

  • Melanie Martinez (January 23)

Multi-platinum alt-pop phenomenon Melanie Martinez will be bringing her “Portals” tour to the World Trade Center in Pasay on January 23.

The concert comes in support of her “Portals” album, which marked her comeback to the music industry after four years. This followed the 2019 release of her second studio album “K-12.”

  • The Rose (January 26)

Filipino Black Roses will definitely bloom this month with the arrival of Korean rock band The Rose in the Philippines.

The quartet will be performing in front of the Filipino crowd for the Manila leg of their “Dawn to Dusk” tour in Araneta Coliseum on January 26.

Their last meeting with Filo Black Roses was in January 2023 for their “Heal Together” concert.

  • Brent Faiyaz (January 28)

American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz will be traveling to Asia this month for his “It’s a Wasteland Tour,” and he will be making a stop in the Philippines.

The Manila leg will happen on January 28 at the New Frontier Theater. 

The concert comes after the release of his 19-track “Wasteland” album in July 2022, where he featured various artists like Alicia Keys and Drake.

February

  • ENHYPEN (February 3)

Filipino ENGENEs will begin the love month meeting their idols, K-pop boy group ENHYPEN, at their “FATE” concert on February 3 at the New Clark City Stadium in Tarlac.

The seven-member group last held a three-night show in the country for their “MANIFESTO” concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in February 2023.

  • Scrubb (February 10)

Thailand-based duo Scrubb, composed of Thawatpon Wongboonsiri and Torpong Chantabubpha, will also be in the country for a concert.

The first Manila musical event will take place at the 123 Block, Mandala Park in Mandaluyong City on February 10.

The duo is known for their soundtracks in the popular Thai boys’ love (BL) series “2gether.” In 2020, Scrubb collaborated with Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben for the song “Everything.”

  • Jonas Brothers (February 22)

February will also bring nostalgic vibes to Filipino fans as pop-rock band Jonas Brothers will hold a concert.

The trio–composed of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas–is set to perform on February 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

This will be the Jonas Brothers’ first visit in Manila in over a decade after their last concert in the same venue in October 2012.

March

  • Jeff Satur (March 2)

Thai singer-actor Jeff Satur will be taking his “Space Shuttle No. 8” tour to the New Frontier Theater on March 2.

The “Space Shuttle No. 8” tour is said to complement the launch of the dynamic artists’ first album.

  • Ed Sheeran (March 9)

Pinoy fans will be making new memories with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as he is set to perform in the Philippines for his “+ – = ÷ x Tour (pronounced as Mathematics Tour).”

The musical event will be held on March 9 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque. English singer-songwriter Calum Scott is expected to join Sheeran as a special guest.

Sheeran’s last visit to Manila was in 2018 for his “Divide” tour in Pasay City.

  • ‘Wanderland Neighborhood’ (March 9 and 10)

Concertgoers will have a blast this summer with the highly anticipated comeback of Wanderland Music and Arts Festival. 

This year’s edition will be called “Wanderland Neighborhood,” which will be held at the Filinvest Concert Grounds in Alabang, Muntinlupa City  on March 9 and 10.

The event will feature dozens of artists who will be headlined by American singer-songwriter Jack Johnson. He will perform on the first day of the festival along with Parcels, Novo Amor, Beenzino, ena mori, and bird.

The second day will feature Jeff Bernat, Grentperez, CLOUDRIVER, Paolo Sandejas, Party Pace, and dwta.

  • wave to earth (March 11 and 13)

Korean indie rock band wave to earth will have a good time jamming to their music with their Pinoy fans in March.

They will be performing in the country, this time, for their solo concert “The First Era,” which will be held at the New Frontier Theatre on March 11 and 13.

This was initially a one-night show but concert organizer Wilbros Live added a second day due to demand.

  • Slash (March 12)

Slash, the lead guitarist of American rock band Guns N’ Roses, is set to rock the Philippine stage for the “The River is Rising – Rest of The World Tour ‘24” on March 12 at the New Frontier Theater.

But the guitarist will not be performing alone in the concert as he will be joined by Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.

It was in November 2018 when Slash last performed in front of the Filipino crowd with Guns N’ Roses for their “Not in This Lifetime Tour.”

  • Janet Jackson (March 13)

Award-winning record artist Janet Jackson will be performing in the Philippines for her “Together Again” world tour on March 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Manila leg of her tour marks Jackson’s first return to the country in 13 years, following her 2011 performance at the PICC Plenary Hall.

  • Rod Stewart (March 13)

Also on March 13, British pop-rock icon Rod Stewart will hold a concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The musical event is titled “Live in Concert, One Last Time.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee is known for his hits “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” “Have I Told You Lately,” “Sailing,” and “Maggie May,” among others.

  • Cha Eun-woo (March 16)

South Korean actor and member of boy group ASTRO Cha Eun-woo is expected to return to Manila for his “Just One 10 Minute: Mystery Elevator Tour” on March 16. The venue of the event has yet to be announced.

The “A Good Day to Be a Dog” star was in the Philippines in July 2023 for a fan meet as an ambassador of a donut brand.

  • Xdinary Heroes (March 23)

South Korean band Xdinary Heroes is also set to rock the Manila stage on March 23 for their “Break the Brake World Tour,” which will take place at the New Frontier Theater. 

The fourth generation K-pop idols last performed in the country with NCT DREAM, WayV, and Golden Child for the “I-POP U 2022” concert.

April

  • Boys Like Girls (April 20)

American rock band Boys Like Girls will spend April in the Philippines with a concert, which is part of their “Spring Tour 2024.” The show will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 20.

The band held concerts in Manila and Cebu in October 2022.

  • Incubus (April 25)

American rock band Incubus will be convening Pinoy rock fans for their one-night concert on April 25 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This is the band’s first time in Manila in six years, following their last performance in February 2018.

May

  • Niall Horan (May 13)

Singer-songwriter and former One Direction member Niall Horan has included Manila in his “The Show Live On Tour” concert. The Philippine leg is set for May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The May 2024 concert comes after Horan’s solo concert “Flicker” in Manila back in June 2018.

July

  • IVE (July 13)

K-pop girl group IVE will grace the Philippine stage for their first world tour, “Show What I Have.” This will be held on July 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The last time the “Love Dive” hitmakers met Filo DIVEs was during their “The Prom Queens” fan concert in June 2023.
