Laufey to release ‘Bewitched: The Goddess Edition’ on April 26

by Joshua Gerona

Grammy Award-winning artist Laufey is set to release new music with Bewitched: The Goddess Edition on April 26.

The upcoming album is an expanded edition of her critically acclaimed album ‘Bewitched,’ with four new tracks added to the list.

The lead track ‘Goddess’ was already released last March 6.

According to the Icelandic-Chinese composer and multi-instrumentalist, the single is her ‘most honest song yet.’

“I wrote it alone at my piano after feeling like someone had fallen in love with the version of me they’d seen on stage, just to find that I wasn’t what they projected once I was off stage. They deemed me to no longer be a shiny thing when the glamor wore off, reduced to skin and bone,” Laufey said.

Laufey is currently on tour for the European leg of her sold-out ‘Bewitched: The Goddess Tour.’

She will perform in Manila in May for her two sold-out ‘A Night At The Symphony’ concerts with Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

Last month, the singer won the 2024 GRAMMY® for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

She currently has over 1.7 billion streams across all platforms and is the biggest streaming artist from Iceland.
