Google names Taylor Swift as the most-searched songwriter

by Deanna Macaranas

GOOGLE just released its most searched figures and moments in “25 Years in Search,” and singer Taylor Swift claimed the throne of the most-searched songwriter.

It’s evident why Swift secured the title of the most searched songwriter on Google Search: after all, just by hearing her name, it immediately rings a bell to many people.

Swift has been in the industry for almost two decades now and throughout her career, her name has been known thanks to popular hits like “Cruel Summer,” “Love Story,” and more.

Other known personalities also secured spots in Google’s “25 Years in Search,” with South Korean boy band BTS getting the record as the most searched boyband, and Beyoncé’s as the most searched performance.

Aside from being the most searched artist on Google, the artist was also named as Time Magazine’s Person of the year: 2023.

While most of Taylor’s songs are often inspired from her romantic encounters, it is also confirmed that the artist is currently dating football player Travis Kelce.

Adding to Taylor’s success was her big accomplishment when it comes to her ERAs tour–where it tops as no.1 tour on both worldwide and in North America. The tour sold over 4 million tickets across 60 tour dates.
