XIAN Lim himself confirmed the real score between him and film producer Iris Lee: they are currently dating.
The 34-year-old actor revealed this in an exclusive interview with lifestyle magazine Esquire Philippines after months of speculation.
“Yes, I’m seeing Iris,” he confirmed. “Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. We are seeing each other and we are very happy.”
Lim and Lee were caught up in dating rumors since December 2023, the same month that the actor and his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu confirmed that they have broken up after almost 12 years.
In February 2024, Lim and Lee were spotted together at a motorcycle-riding school. A photo of them was shared by Watanabe Riding Development on Facebook, where Lim could be seen putting his arm around Lee’s shoulders, while the latter was holding his hand. They were with singer-songwriter JK Labajo and Miss Universe Philippines-Cavite Dia Mate.
The actor clarified in the magazine interview that there was no third party involved in his breakup with “It’s Showtime” host.
He also debunked rumors about him getting married in New York and living with someone for years, which he described as “absurd.”
Lim said he was only living with his mom and grandparents.
“Things happen in life that we’re not going to be able to control. And as much as we don’t want it to happen, life happens. And it just pains me na parang may mga taong nadamay. That just really saddens me and that’s very unfortunate,” he emphasized.
Amid the dating confirmation, Lee shared a video of Lim dancing on her Instagram story. The actor reposted this on his Instagram story and said, “Film shooting day 24.”
In another clip, the two could also be seen filming in an unlit area, along with other crew members.
KimXi breakup
In a statement on Instagram in December, Chiu said that ending her longtime relationship with Lim was a “mutual decision.” She thanked their fans for their love and support but she asked for privacy as they begin “new chapters” in their lives.
The “It’s Showtime” host then thanked Lim for their “beautiful memories together.”
During the interview, Lim kept mum on the reason behind their breakup and chose to keep it between him and Chiu.
“It was a mutual understanding between me and (her) and that we’re going our separate ways. Hindi na kailangan pang magsabi kung sino’ng nagkulang,” he said.
Nevertheless, Lim said that they had a “beautiful relationship.”
The “Linlang” star recently celebrated her 34th birthday in “It’s Showtime.” She turned emotional as her co-hosts relayed their birthday messages, with Vhong Navarro assuring her that the right person for her will come at the right time.
