JAPANESE girl group XG, well-known for its R&B and hip-hop-inspired music, has revealed the details of their much-awaited “The First HOWL” world tour.
This is a major turning point for the seven-member group, which debuted in March 2022.
The concerts on May 18 and 19 marked the start of the tour in Osaka, Japan. Subsequently, it will move to several famous Asian cities, such as Yokohama, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.
AEG Presents Asia and Ovation Productions are handling the tour.
XG’s Manila concert is scheduled for August 2, 2024, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, starting at 8 PM.
Ticket prices for the event are as follows:
- Lower Box B: P4,000
- Lower Box A: P5,000
- Patron C: P6,800
- Patron B: P8,000
- Patron A: P8,800
- Seated VIP Package: P13,800 (including soundcheck and send-off access)
However, this announcement sparked various reactions from the netizens.
The members of XG — Juria, Maya, Harvey, Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, and Cocona have gained popularity on worldwide platforms and in media from the US, Singapore, the UAE, Malaysia, China, Japan, and South Korea.
They were the first Japanese female girl group to appear on a cover of the U.S. Billboard magazine and the initial Japanese artists to reach the top of the U.S. Billboard chart “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter.”
XG has put out a number of hit songs in their brief presence, such as “Tippy Toes,” “Mascara,” and “Shooting Star.” Their non-album singles “Winter Without You” and “Left Right” together with their first extended play “New DNA” solidified their spot in the music field.
