WARM up your voice now, “Wicked” fans!
“Wicked” lead stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, along with director Jon M. Chu, will choose three pairs of Filipino vocal duos to perform the Philippine version of “For Good.”
Universal Pictures Philippines has opened auditions for the “Awiting Wicked: For Good” singing competition, where interested Filipino duos can join by sending their renditions of “For Good” on TikTok.
The company will start accepting entries from September 15 to October 15.
It will also set up audition stations in select shopping malls: SM Mall of Asia, SM Lanang, SM City Iloilo, and SM Seaside Cebu.
“For Good” is one of the iconic songs from “Wicked” that highlights the deep friendship between two witches, Elphaba (Erivo) and Glinda (Grande).
“‘Wicked: For Good’ is a heartwarming ode to friendship that tells the story of how Elphaba and Glinda have profoundly changed each other’s lives, and we want to hear you sing it,” Chu said in a TikTok clip.
“We are calling on you to grab your best friend and channel Elphaba and Glinda by singing your own rendition of ‘For Good,’” he added.

Chu, Erivo, and Grande will pick three duos from the competition who will lend their voices to the Philippine version of the popular track.
Winners will be given the opportunity to participate in its music video, embark on an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore, and meet the cast of “Wicked: For Good.”
“We can’t wait to hear you sing ‘For Good,’ and we especially can’t wait for you to see ‘Wicked: For Good’ on the big screen,” said Chu.
About ‘Wicked: For Good’
“Wicked: For Good” is a sequel to the award-winning 2024 musical fantasy film, which follows how Elphaba and Glinda started as loathing roommates at Shiz University to unlikely friends.
A first look at “Wicked: For Good” was released in August, featuring major changes between the two protagonists since they parted ways in the 2024 film. The clip showed Elphaba and Glinda embracing their new personas as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, respectively.
“It’s a much more mature, emotional journey about the consequences of the hard choices that you make,” said Chu.
“And it’s really about them trying to get back together in some way, even if the fates don’t allow that,” he continued.
The forthcoming “Wicked” film also stars Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible.
“Wicked: For Good” will premiere in Philippine cinemas on November 19.
