In the teaser, we see Charlie (Joe Locke) as he practices how he will confess his love for boyfriend Nick (Kit Connor). While trying to rehearse this in his bedroom, Charlie’s sister Tori (Jenny Walser) enters and says, “I’m shocked you haven’t said it already.”

“I don’t want him to have to say the awkward ‘I love you too’ because he feels obligated to,” Charlie explained.

The third season of the hit series was first announced on March 20 as actors Locke and Connor were about to rehearse in a fairground.

According to Netflix’s Tudum, the third season will follow Charlie and Nick’s deepening relationship as the other is yet to face their biggest emotional challenges.

The official description read: “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”

Various big-name actors are set to join the series, with Eddie Marsan playing Geoff, who is “Charlie’s wise and straight-talking therapist”; Hayley Atwell as Aunt Diane, and “Fellow Travelers” hunk Jonathan Bailey as Maddox, an “Instagram-famous classicist and celebrity crush of Charlie.”

But more surprises await as the clip includes Billie Eilish’s unreleased song “Birds of a Feather,” which is part of her upcoming album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” to be released on May 17.

The third season of “Heartstopper” will have eight episodes and will premiere on Netflix on October 3.
