WATTPAD hit “Project Loki”, a mystery crime thriller penned by AkoSiIbarra, is set to be adapted into a television series under Viva One, marking the platform’s latest move to bring fan-favorite stories to the screen.
On August 15, Viva One released the first teaser for the series, featuring Marco Gallo and Dylan Menor alongside Jayda Avanzado, hinting at the trio’s team-up in unraveling the story’s dark mysteries and puzzles.
Actor Xian Lim is set to direct the live-action adaptation of Project Loki, with the blessing of the author himself.
In a statement, the writer admitted being surprised when Lim was first introduced to him as “the captain of this ship.”
“I have always known him as a talented actor, but I recently learned that he has already directed two films and an episode of a public service drama,” said R.C. Musni, a.k.a. AkoSiIbarra, on his official Facebook post.
“What impressed me even more is that Direk Xian has already finished reading the first volume of the series,” he said.
“All that attention to detail in such a short video was completely on them, and I truly appreciate it as the author.”
“Project Loki” centers on Lorelei and Loki “as they unravel the threads of mystery, unveil the masks of evil intentions and put together the pieces of the puzzle in their adventures.”
Originally published on Wattpad, the story has since garnered millions of reads, eventually leading to its illustrated release on Webtoon.
As of writing, official release date for the Viva One adaptation is yet to be announced.
