SUPER Mario can now wake you up!
Nintendo just announced its latest product: the Alarmo Clock.
This interactive clock by Nintendo allows you to set a time and select from 35 scenes across five Nintendo titles (not just Super Mario!), namely:
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Pikmin 4
- Splatoon 3
- Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Ring Fit Adventure
Each title has its own combination of different music and sounds. In the future, Nintendo will also be releasing even more titles to choose from, such as “Mario Kart Deluxe 8” and “Animal Crossing”.
What does it do?
“Select a title, pick a scene, set a time, and let Alarmo handle the rest.”
With Alarmo, you can set an alarm and then be woken up by your music of choice. Alarmo also has built-in motion sensors that track your body’s movement, letting out different game sounds when you move, getting louder when you sleep past your alarm, and even playing fanfare when you wake up.
Take note: if you continue to ignore Alarmo when it wakes you up, it will get more and more intense, and you may even get a visit from someone who will be more persuasive in waking you. (This can be changed if you choose Gentle Mode over Steady.)
Aside from waking you up, Alarmo also has:
- Sleepy Sounds: Plays ambient sounds when you get into bed to help you sleep.
- Records: Logs your sleep and movement.
- Hourly Chime: Shows different Nintendo characters signaling the start of a new hour.
You can change the sounds you hear with Alarmo’s settings, and you can also connect to the internet for updates. At present, Alarmo is available for early access for Nintendo Switch Online members in the US and Canada.
It is available online at the My Nintendo Store and in person at Nintendo NYC, and will soon become available at retailers in 2025. It is priced at USD 99.99.
