There’s no stopping Cup of Joe from playing their hearts out.
Cup of Joe starts the new year with their concert, Silakbo. Already sold out for the Manila leg of their tour, the two-day concert will start on Feb. 8-9, 2025 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and will continue on to March in Cebu and Davao. This tour will also be the grand unveiling of their new album, the concert’s namesake —Silakbo, which was released last January 17, 2025. The album explores a different sound compared to their previous ‘Patutunguhan’ EP and is already creating buzz as a musical masterpiece that promises to tug at the heartstrings and stir emotions.
The band members expresses their feelings about the new album and performing it for the first time in their 2nd headlining concert to their “Joewahs”, their fandom name. “We poured our hearts and souls into Silakbo, and it’s a reflection of not just the emotions we’ve been through but also those of our listeners,” shares Rapha, one of the band’s vocalists. “Having the opportunity to connect with our fans through this album and these concerts feels like a dream come true,” added by Gian, another vocalist of the band.

The concert will be filled with people going through the full cycle of grief through the band’s confounding skill of lyrics and music making— the signature Cup of Joe sound. Silakbo tells the story of the five stages of grief. A whirlwind of emotions will rush in as you step into the coliseum; going through each stage: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
The album exhumes the raw and telling feelings of the human experience, a melancholic yet hopeful vibe as the songs will finally escape your earphones and resound from the concert walls, permeating the coliseum with Cup of Joe’s live music.
