CREAMLINE spiker Michele Gumabao and PBA strength and conditioning coach Aldo Panlilio will soon ring the wedding bells as the longtime couple announce their engagement.
On Instagram, the 31-year-old athlete and beauty queen shared photos of their engagement taken in Tokyo, Japan by photo and video services Nice Print Photography.
Gumabao was clad in a simple white dress with the engagement ring on her left hand, while Panlilio wore a casual black polo shirt and pants.
“8 to [infinity] with you,” said Gumabao.
Panlilio, a basketball player and strength and conditioning coach for the San Miguel Beermen, also posted another set of their engagement photos on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “8/8 celebrating our 8th year and it’s [infinity] with you.”
Aside from conquering the volleyball court, Gumabaoa also entered the pageantry in 2018, bringing home the Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2018 crown. She represented the Philippines in the Miss Globe 2018, where she finished in the Top 15.
She then joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant where she represented Quezon City. The volleyball star was named second runner-up in the beauty competition, which she previously said would be her last pageant.
Panlilio, on the other hand, was supportive of his fiancèe’s beauty pageant journey.

The comment section of the couple’s posts was filled with congratulatory messages from celebrities, including Gumabao’s batchmates at Binibining Pilipinas 2018.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray commented on Gumabao’s post with, “Congrats love!!!”
“Finally!!! Congrats guys!!!” said Binibining Pilipinas 2018 second runner-up Samantha Bernardo.
Meanwhile, Binibining Pilipinas 2018 1st runner-up Vickie Rushton wrote, “Awww! Congratulations Michyyy!!!”
Creamline libero Dennise “Denden” Lazaro-Revilla and three-time PVL Most Valuable Player (MVP) Tots Carlos also celebrated the engagement news of their teammate.
Other celebrities like Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa, Lauren Young, and Dani Barretto also congratulated the couple.
