TWICE to drop new album ‘This Is For’

by Rescel Ocampo

K-POP girl group TWICE is officially making their return with their fourth full-length album titled ‘THIS IS FOR’, set for release on July 11 at 1 PM (KST), or 12 noon in the Philippines.

The announcement came after weeks of anticipation from fans, following a teaser titled “Intro: Four” released in May.

On June 26, JYP Entertainment unveiled the album’s 14-song tracklist through TWICE’s official social media channels.

The title track, THIS IS FOR, leads the lineup, joined by tracks like FOUR, OPTIONS, PEACH GELATO, RIGHT HAND GIRL, and G.O.A.T.

This comeback is particularly meaningful to fans, as it marks TWICE’s first full-length album in nearly four years, after 2021’s “Formula of Love: O+T=<3”.

Their last major release was the EP Strategy in December 2024, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200—a rare feat for K-pop girl groups.

TWICE will begin their sixth world tour “This Is For” with two shows at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, on July 19 and 20.

On August 2, they are scheduled to headline the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Illinois.

The group debuted in 2015 with the EP The Story Begins and is composed of nine members: Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. They played a key role in leading the “third generation” of K-pop and helping the genre expand globally.

TWICE’s return is especially anticipated by Filipino ONCEs, many of whom attended the group’s 2024 fan meeting in the Philippines, organized by a local food brand they endorsed.

TWICE will return to the Philippines this October for a one-night concert at the Philippine Arena.
