THE 12-man roster of Gilas Pilipinas for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, has been completed.
Interim coach Tim Cone made the announcement on Thursday night at the team’s joint practice with the Gilas Women’s Basketball Team at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The Final 12 will be led by FIBA World Cup holdovers June Mar Fajardo and Japeth Aguilar, as well as Roger Pogoy, who was spotted in street clothes.
Calvin Abueva and Terrence Romeo, who were fan favorites, were returning Gilas members. Jason Perkins, Calvin Oftana, Chris Newsome, and Justin Brownlee are also on the team.

Three players, though, were not seen in practice: Scottie Thompson, Mo Tautuaa, and Ange Kouame.
Stanley Pringle will serve as the squad’s reserve player. Despite not having a spot on the team, he continues to assist Gilas in its preparations.
Meanwhile, Gilas assistant coach LA Tenorio was seen directing the players on how to execute Cone’s well-known play.
