Teams for ‘Magpasikat 2024’ revealed

PREPARATIONS for the week-long anniversary celebration of the noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” are underway, with the announcement of teams for “Magpasikat 2024.”

“It’s Showtime” will mark its 15th anniversary this year, and the celebration will not be complete without the much-awaited “Magpasikat 2024.”

“Magpasikat” is an anniversary special where hosts will be divided into five groups and compete against each other for a week by showcasing their talents.

“Magpasikat 2024” will kick off with a performance from the team of Vice Ganda, Karylle, and Ryan Bang on Monday, October 21.

The team of Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, MC, and Lassy will follow on Tuesday, October 22.

The third group to perform will be Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, Darren Espanto, and Ion Perez on Wednesday, October 23.

The team of Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz will take the limelight on Thursday, October 24.

Meanwhile, Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez will conclude the “Magpasikat 2024” performance on Friday, October 25.

“Abangan niyo itong taon na ito, madlang people. Promise, pasabog ito,” said Hilario.

Vice Ganda ensured to give a nerve-racking performance on the first day of “Magpasikat 2024.”

“Sisiguraduhin naming kakabahan yung mga susunod. Sisiguraduhin naming lalagnatin kayo matapos niyong panoorin yung Monday performance,” said the comedy superstar.

“It’s Showtime” also celebrated the eighth anniversary of “Showtime Online U,” hosted by Jannah Alanise, Anthony Castillo, JM dela Cerna, Mackie Empuerto, Wize Estabillo, Lorraine Galvez, Marielle Montillano, Nicki Morena, AC Soriano, and Anne Tenorio.

‘Magpasikat 2023’ recap

The team of Hilario, Chiu, and Perez was declared the grand champion for “Magpasikat 2023,” taking home P300,000. Their performance centered on the responsible use of gadgets and social media.

Meanwhile, the team of Curtis, Bang, and Alcasid took the second spot, winning P200,000. Their talent show talked about seeking healing.

Lastly, Navarro, Jugueta, and Corpuz—who paid tribute to late Filipino comedians in their performance—finished third in the competition, gaining P100,000.
