Global pop icon Taylor Swift is already shattering records with The Life of a Showgirl, which has become the most pre-saved album in Spotify history—even before its official release.
In their official statement, Spotify itself announced Swift’s achievement.
“On August 31st, 2025, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl became the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in Spotify history,” they said.
The Life of a Showgirl is Swift’s 12th album to date. Its announcement during the New Heights podcast, hosted by Swift’s fiance Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, also broke a Guinness World Record for the most for a podcast with the most concurrent views.
Meanwhile, the album is set to be released on October 3. It was recorded in Sweden with producers Martin Garrix and Shellback— both of whom Swift worked previously with on her album 1989.
“We’ve never actually made an album before where it’s just the three of us. There’s no other collaborators. It’s just the three of us making a focused album where it felt like catching lightning in a bottle,” said Swift on Garrix and Shellback during the podcast.
“These guys, they are just geniuses in different avenues, in different ways,” she added.
