IT looks like Taylor Swift can still make the whole place shimmer as she reveals the official release date of her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.
“And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3 ❤️🔥,” captioned Swift on her official social media post.
Along with the date announcement, Swift also dropped stunning photos of herself in various dazzling showgirl outfits straight out of the Roaring 20s, giving us a first look of the aesthetic vibes of the upcoming album.
The album’s 12-track list — previously leaked but now confirmed — includes its namesake The Life of a Showgirl as track 12, featuring “Manchild” hitmaker Sabrina Carpenter.
Other songs are as follow:
- Fate of Ophelia
- Elizabeth Taylor
- Opalite
- Father Figure
- Eldest Daugter
- Ruin the Friendship
- Actually Romantic
- Wi$h Li$t
- Wood
- CANCELLED!
- Honey
Swift announced two 72-hour limited editions — The Life of a Showgirl: “It’s Rapturous” and “It’s Beautiful” Deluxe CDs — now up for pre-order, with cover art by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and production by Max Martin, Shellback, and Swift.
The release comes on the heels of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which became a global cultural event and cemented her status as one of the most influential performers of her generation.
With The Life of a Showgirl, Swift trades the sweeping retrospective of her past work for a bold, cabaret-inspired vision, signaling the start of another era.
