The wait is definitely over! Pablo, after cooking something new, has finally served “edsa” hot as breakfast for unsuspecting A’TIN.
The SB19 leader and chief songwriter, after teasing fans with a snippet of a new single without details of a release date, has now released the song—in the dead of the night. Luckily, there are night owl fans who are on high alert after Pablo teased the newly released single five days ago.
“[V]room vroom vroom,” he captioned in an Instagram post with the song’s cover art and link to Spotify.
Fans, although left speechless and surprised with some even noting and making fun of the singer’s spontaneous and last minute decision, are and will always be in on Pablo’s quirk and masterful creation.
“Ang random moo pero we’re here for it!!” one fan wrote.
“Congrats mahal!!! Sarap naman ng pa-almusal mo,” another commented.
The “La Luna” singer first teased the song in a TikTok video stating that he thought of the song while riding along EDSA in Metro Manila, referencing the harsh traffic in the well known highway where lots of commuters traverse towards their respective destination. He sang a snippet of the song, further rousing the fans’ anticipation for its release.
Meanwhile, in an Instagram post on May 16, before officially releasing the song, the singer shared the cover art with a caption, “Ohh. Pre-save nyo na “edsa” on Spotify. Lapit na ‘yan. Na-trapik lang,” together with the link where fans can pre-save the newly released single.
The song boasts of relatable lyrics that commuters may enjoy while riding along the EDSA, Pablo’s extraordinary singing and rapping that is to die for, and a cheery and inspiring vibe that anyone can dance to.
On a separate note, the popular P-POP group, SB19, is set to conclude their PAGTATAG! world tour in support of their 2023 EP of the same name this weekend with two sold-out concerts at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Fans are in for a treat with the roster of special guests recently announced by the group. For those who were unable to avail tickets, fret not. The Kings of P-pop announced a livestream will be made available via iWantTFC, iWant app, and IPTV.
