ANOTHER series, another puksaan!
VIEWERS will witness another fierce battle of Filipino drag queens in the new series of “Drag Race Philippines,” this time, with other Asian drag queens.
On Friday, the Philippine franchise of the Emmy Award-winning reality show revealed its brand new series that will bring Asian drag to the spotlight—“Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale.”

This drew excitement from drag fans who said the new show feels like it will be an Asian version of the international all-star series “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World,” where Filipina drag queen Marina Summers finished in the Top 4.
But what exactly should the fans expect from “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale?”
The new series will feature “Drag Race Philippines” queens competing with Asian queens from across the “Drag Race” franchise to be crowned the new drag superstar.
“This new version of ‘Drag Race’ shines a spotlight on Asian drag as never before, celebrating its culture, its history and creativity in a unique battle royale,” said co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey.
Further details about “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale”—including the contestants, judges, and host—have yet to be announced.
There is no exact date yet for its premiere, but “Drag Race Philippines” announced that the new series will be available “later this year” on WOW Presents Plus Asia in the Philippines and worldwide.
Ready for ’Slaysian excellence’
Drag fans on X, formerly Twitter, could not hide their excitement for “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale,” revealing their bets for the forthcoming series. Some were rooting for Filipina drag queens Viñas DeLuxe, Brigiding, Khianna, and M1ss Jade So, among many others.
Several fans wanted drag queen Joella, known as the “Slaysian Diva of LA,” to participate in the new series.
“Not them naming a drag race spin-off series after me,” said Joella on X.
Other Filipina drag queens, like Marina and Eva Le Queen, were also thrilled about “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale.”
“LFG (Let’s f*cking go)!!!!” Marina wrote.
“Oh this is going to be FIERCE! Asian excellence!! Let’s f*ckin go!!” Eva, who represented the Philippines in the first season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars,” said.
“Drag Race Philippines” has three seasons won by Precious Paula Nicole in 2022, Captivating Katkat in 2023, and Maxie Andreison in 2024.
They were all hosted by Paolo Ballesteros, also known as Mama Pao, with a new set of celebrity guest judges every season.
