by Joanna Deala

KOREAN-American singer Eric Nam added new locations for his “House on a Hill” world tour, and several Asian countries are part of the list.

Nam announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Asian leg of his tour will kick off in Thailand on February 16, 2024.

It will be followed by Singapore on February 18, Malaysia on February 20, Taiwan on February 22, South Korea on February 24, and Japan on February 26.

Details of ticket sales and prices will be announced soon, he added.

While the Philippines and Indonesia are not yet on the list, the multifaceted entertainer assured fans, collectively known as Nam Nation, in those countries that they need not to worry.

“To my fans in The Philippines and Indonesia, don’t worry, we are working hard to make these shows happen!” Nam said.

He added that dates for the India leg of his tour are “coming sooner than you think.”

The singer-songwriter’s last visit to Manila was in August for his fan meet at the Market! Market! mall in Taguig, where he was greeted by Nam Nation with a warm welcome.

During the fan meet, Nam introduced himself more to the Filipino crowd through a question-and-answer segment with host Denise Laurel and interacted with his fans during the group photo opportunity.

Of course, the event won’t end without the singer serenading Nam Nation with his past songs such as “Runaway,” “Don’t Let This Love Die Young,” “I Don’t Know You Anymore,” “Perhaps Love,” and “Honestly.”

He also gave a live snippet of his new song, “Don’t Leave Yet.”

‘Most ambitious project’

“Don’t Leave Yet” is part of his latest album “House on a Hill,” which he released on September 8.

The album also includes the title track “House on a Hill,” “Only for a Moment,” “I Wish I Wasn’t Me,” “Undefined,” “Sink or Swim,” “Exist,” and “House on a Hill” featuring 24-year-old American singer-songwriter Em Beihold.

In a post on X, Nam thanked his fans and the individuals who helped him complete the album, which he described as “the most ambitious project of my career.”

He said that the album “threw me for multiple loops, existential crises, moments of doubt, pain, but also bliss.”

“I hope that you find songs that resonate with you and that you come back to it regularly,” he continued.

World tour

Nam kicked off his “House on a Hill” world tour in North America on September 16, with a show in Dallas, Texas.

The “Only for a Moment” singer recently concluded his concert in Montreal in Canada.

The North America leg is expected to end on November 15 in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be followed by shows in Latin America, which will begin on November 20 in Brazil.
