SEVENTEEN’s Dino lends voice to 2025 Esports World Cup official anthem

by Joanna Deala

DINO of the K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN made history by being the first K-pop artist to sing the official anthem of the annual global esports tournament, the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC).

Dino, whose real name is Lee Chan, collaborated with American rapper Duckwrth and Telle Smith of the metalcore band The Word Alive for “Til My Fingers Bleed.”

“Til My Fingers Bleed” is an electrifying song that combines heavy beats with powerful band sounds. It features full English lyrics written by Alex Karlsson, T-Ma, and Jared Lee.

Organizers of the 2025 EWC released the official lyric video of “Til My Fingers Bleed,” featuring Dino recording the upbeat track in a studio. They said the song is dedicated to “the ones who play with everything they’ve got.”

The K-pop idol sang the first verse that goes, “Uh~ whats it gonna be when they come? / Empty out the streets, raise em up / Its the enemy, would you run and hide or stand and fight / Pay up to the piper / Who the one to blame we all under fire / Stay up up through the nighter / Cause if you sleep sound you might sleep too tighter.”

Telle could also be seen performing the theme song in a recording studio, while Duckwrth spat bars inside what appeared to be a boxing ring. The video also showcased professional esports players from across the globe competing for the champion title.

In a Naver article shared by Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN’s record label, on X (formerly Twitter), Dino shared that he was “impressed” the first time he heard “Til My Fingers Bleed.”

“I tried to find my own attractive tone that matches the music, and I tried to express a strong atmosphere while also incorporating my own color,” Dino was quoted as saying in the article, translated by Google into English.

Dino will perform the theme song at the 2025 EWC’s opening ceremony on July 10 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Global superstar Post Malone will headline the event, featuring “Ascension” by DJ Alesso and Tina Guo.

The 2025 EWC will run from July 7 to August 24, featuring 25 games including VALORANT, League of Legends (LoL), and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The Philippines will be represented in the tournament by four esports teams: Team Liquid PH and ONIC PH, who will compete in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC), and NAVI PH and Team Liquid PH (female team), who will participate in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI).

About Dino

Dino debuted as a member of SEVENTEEN in 2015 with a mini-album, “17 Carat.” He is recognized as one of the group’s main dancers and a member of the performance team along with Hoshi, The8, and Jun.

For context, the 13-member boy group is divided into three main sub-units: the performance team; the vocal team, composed of Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan; and the hip-hop team, consisting of S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon.

Having been passionate about dancing since he was a kid, Dino also took part in choreographing SEVENTEEN’s performances, most notably the six-person dance routine for “Flower.”

He also showcases his impressive dancing skills through his “Dino’s Danceology” video series on SEVENTEEN’s YouTube channel, creating dance covers of other artists’ songs, including Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” Drake’s “Toosie Slide,” and Charlie Puth’s “Cheating on You.”

Dino made his solo debut in 2023 when he dropped his first mixtape, “Wait,” along with a music video that highlighted his sharp and precise dance moves.

SEVENTEEN recently released its fifth studio album, “Happy Burstday,” to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the K-pop scene. The album features the lead single, “Thunder,” and solo tracks from each SEVENTEEN member.

The K-pop boy group last visited the Philippines in January 2025 for its “Right Here” tour in Bulacan.
