SB19’s Ken gifts A’TINs with ‘7sins’ debut solo album

by RepublicAsia

A’TINs! The long wait is finally over because FELIP is back with his debut solo album!

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), FELIP, also known as Ken, announced that he would drop his debut solo album,“7sins,” on July 5 on all digital streaming platforms.

To celebrate his long-awaited project, the Filipino artist will hold a concert on July 27 at the Space at One Ayala.

Other details about the album concert could be seen on FELIP’s frequently asked questions (FAQ) post on X.

In the replies, other fans were requesting a livestreamed version of the concert. Well, who wouldn’t want this?

Aside from Manila, FELIP is set to hold his concert in Japan to promote his album. In his post on X, he revealed the schedule of “7sins” including its album pre-order, album release, signing event, and album concert. Further details about his upcoming debut solo album are yet to be announced.

Before “7sins,” FELIP released an extended play (EP) titled “COM·PLEX” in February 2023. It is composed of six songs which are “ROCKSTA,” “SUPERIORITY,” MICTEST,” “DRINKSMOKE,” “CRIMINAL,” and “STRAYDOG.” The EP digs deeper into the artist’s music preferences, style, and persona outside his role in SB19.

In an interview by Nika Roque of GMA Integrated News, FELIP said, “As artists, sometimes we are filtered to express our thoughts. This EP is a way for me to send a message, and express my feelings.”

On April 5, 2024, FELIP also released the song “Fake Faces.” According to an article by One Music PH Team, it talks about “isolation, fear of betrayal, and finding authenticity.” In the song, the artist proved that he is a deep-voiced rockstar vocalist who is free to sing an expressive song, which made him more appealing to his listeners.

As Ken, the P-pop group SB19 is set to hold live performances at the 60th Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 7 after holding their two-day “Pagtatag! World Tour” in the same dome on May 18 and 19.

SB19 is also nominated in the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards under “Favorite Asian Act.” A’TINs can vote for SB19 through this link: https://kca.nick-asia.com/vote/favourite-asian-act and show support by joining the #SB19Hour movement every day at 6:30 PM.
