Goldilocks And The Three Bears: Death and Porridge (Horror)

If curiosity kills the cat then prepare yourself from the consequences.

Fairytale but not as happy as you would expect it. This screen adaptation of Goldilocks and the three Bears twists the children’s fairy tale of Goldilocks sneaking into the home of three bears.

In this movie, Goldilocks is living in an isolated place in the woods with three bears when a group of friends suddenly invade their home. Goldilocks and the bears decide to throw out these trespassers.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Death and Porridge is played by Abigail Huxley, Jack Barry, and Olga Solo and directed by Craig Rees who also directed the 2019 mystery and thriller movie Annabellum: The Curse of Salem. 

1521 (Drama)

You and I against the world.

To get rid of these jumpscares, consider this historical drama movie directed by Michael Barder. Also known through its other screen name 1521: The Quest for Love and Freedom, 1521 talks about a young beautiful Filipina falling in love to a handsome Spanish Soldier during pre-Spanish colonial period in the Philippines. Despite their situation that tests their loyalty to their countries, they still fight for romance.

Starring Bea Alonzo, Costas Mandylor, Danny Trejo, and Michael Copon, 1521 received the Sweden and London Independent Film Award in 2023.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die (Action)

Double the trouble

Searching for a movie that comes in action and comedy at the same time? Then consider watching the sequel of Bad Boys For Life, Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Starring Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, and Will Smith, it follows the story of two Miami detectives Mike Lowrey who was nearly killed by an unknown assassin and Marcus Burnett preparing his retirement.

The bad boys face an all out mission against the two drug lords who have a personal feud linked to Mike.

Mike and Marcus are set to return with their iconic action brand and comedy but with a twist as Miami police are now in their way.

New emotions, new chapters.

Who can’t recall Riley’s five emotions back in 2015? Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust meet new emotions as Riley enters her teenage years. Their Headquarters undergoes a demolition upgrade, especially the console, as preparation for the arrival of Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui or also known as boredom.

After Joy and Sadness’ successful retrieval of Riley’s core memories in the first movie, will the new and original emotions team up to have a better teenage years for her? The voice actors of original emotions Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan is set to return to the big screen together with Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulo, and Paul Walter Hause who will voice the new emotions. 

A Quiet Place: Day One (Horror)

Be quiet, there’s something nearby.

Hiding in a noise free environment is a must so the aliens can’t find you. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, A Quiet Place: Day One tells what really happened before the first film and its second part, where a woman played by Lupita Nyong’o survives a massive invasion of a bloodthirsty alien creature with ultrasonic sound hearing in New York City.

Summer is out and the rainy season is finally here. June is a month packed with a variety of movies of different genres that the whole family, squads, and even your sure thing can enjoy, so this is a perfect reminder to not forget to spend some leisure time with them.
