BRAN Ferrer Reluao, Republicasia’s founder and chief executive officer, has achieved yet another significant accomplishment this year by being named the nation’s special envoy to Thailand.
Chief of Presidential Protocol Reichel Quiñones administered Reluao’s oath-taking, becoming one of the youngest envoys of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ever to be appointed.
With this new role, the 27-year-old artificial intelligence and digital inclusivity advocate will represent Filipino youth in digital cooperation, innovation, and bilateral relations between the Philippines and Thailand.
Reluao shared a photo from his oath-taking ceremony on Instagram, thanking the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos for entrusting him with the job.
“It is a privilege I accept with humility, faith, and purpose,” said Reluao.
“As I begin this mission, I am committed to advancing cooperation between the Philippines and Thailand in digital transformation, communications, and innovation—guided by integrity, professionalism, and a deep sense of service under God,” he added.
Reluao first founded BranReluao & Associates and AuthorityAsia Communications, Inc. to help clients in politics, entertainment, and the private sector with their digital and crisis communication strategies.
As a young advocate, he wants to empower and amplify the voices of the young generation by giving them a platform where they can narrate their stories their own way. This became his driving force in establishing RepublicAsia, a Manila-based digital media company that caters to Gen Z and millennial audiences.
Recent achievements
Prior to his appointment as a special envoy, Reluao expanded his digital inclusivity advocacy by launching the “Pay IT Forward” campaign, which delivered free tablets and internet devices to public schools in remote areas in the country.
He joined forces with the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and iACADEMY for the campaign’s launch in Cebu, where they donated 100 tablets and three Starlink units to eight public schools in Cebu.
Reluao then partnered with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), GMA Kapuso Foundation, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center to bring the “Pay IT Forward” campaign to Marawi. RepublicAsia and its partnered institutions will soon turn over more tablets and internet devices to four Marawi schools built by the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
On Wednesday, June 18, the RepublicAsia team handed over 30 tablets and two smart televisions to student-athletes at the National Academy of Sports in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac as part of the “Pay IT Forward” campaign.
With his advocacy centering on the youth’s education and empowerment, Reluao was also named chairman of the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Charity Gala, raising funds for the social services and development agency Caritas Manila and the non-profit humanitarian organization Hope for Change.
We, at RepublicAsia, warmly congratulate our founder and CEO on his new role!
