IT’S another episode of P-pop and K-pop crossover!
Irene of K-pop girl group Red Velvet trended on X (formerly Twitter) after a fan uploaded a video of her doing “Patropiko” dance challenge by P-pop girl group BINI.
The 12-second clip was from a fancall event user @baechustokki had with the K-pop idol, where the former requested the latter to do the “Pantropiko” dance challenge, which Red Velvet’s leader and main rapper granted.
The fan showed BINI member Aiah’s “Patropiko” dance challenge clip that Irene used as a guide as she grooved to the music.

I mentioned how 🐰 was always doing Tiktok challenges during Chill Kill era and asked if she can do the ‘Pantropiko’ challenge by @BINI_ph & showed her @bini_aiah’s video doing the challenge! pic.twitter.com/Ez0TGBSGEJ
This caught the attention of several BINI members who couldn’t help but gush over Irene’s dance video.
Sheena reposted the clip on X and said, “Gagged gagging gaggable.”
In the replies, she thanked user @baechustokki for what she called a “miracle.”
Maloi also reacted, “Ate Irene?!!!?!?!?????????!!!!!!!! Sandali ang daming nangyayari.”
“Teka lang mamaya na ako mag react trabaho lang ako,” said Colet.
“Pantropiko” is a romantic track that BINI dropped in November 2023. The upbeat single gives listeners the feeling of falling in love in summer.
This made the P-pop girl group enter Spotify Philippines’ Viral chart last month, peaking in the top 30.
BINI, dubbed as “The Nation’s Girl Group,” is composed of eight members namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena. They officially debuted in June 2021, with their single “Born To Win.” They released their pre-debut single “Da Coconut Nut” in 2020.
First EP
“The Nation’s Girl Group” is set to release its first-ever extended play (EP) titled “Talaarawan,” according to Star Music.
BINI’s label dropped a promotional teaser of the EP featuring a notebook with denim cover and has the words “1st EP,” “Coming Soon,” and “BINI.”
“The wait is over! BINI 1st EP is finally coming! Thank you sa pagwait ha? <33 Game kayo?” BINI said in a letter it addressed to its fans, collectively known as Blooms.
Further details about the album, such as the tracklist and its release date, are still kept under wraps.
On Wednesday evening, ABS-CBN’s ELJ Communications Center building lit up in pink and flashed the name “BINI.”
Blooms trooped outside the Kapamilya network complex to see BINI members in the flesh for their Valentine’s Day event.
