Republicasia Spotlight has been one of our initiatives to promote P-pop and Filipino artists who deserve to shine under the spotlight. With the fast-paced world of pop culture, we also see the rise of P-pop— bringing fresh sounds, world-class talent, and a unique Filipino identity to the global stage. As the industry continues to evolve, we remain committed to amplifying the voices of emerging and established artists, celebrating their musicality and artistry, and promoting them to reach a wider audience.
RA Spotlight was launched exactly a year ago today. The Gen-Z led platform created RA Spotlight to promote and highlight Original Pinoy Music (OPM). Every month, a list of Pinoy artists that have created an impact in the industry are selected for the Spotlight.
It has featured a wide array of impeccable artists from indie to Ppop. The pioneering nominees for Spotlight were singer-songwriters Janine Berdin, Denise Julia, Syd Hartha and Clara. In the 2-week duration of voting, we promote each artist and invite their fans the chance for their favorite artist to bag the RA Spotlight title. In this run, Denise Julia, R&B singer, got March 2024 RA Spotlight. The second run highlighted Ppop as we see the growth of Ppop in the music industry. As we feature amazing groups, VXON got the RA Spotlight title.
The Return of the Spotlight
After a brief break, RA Spotlight is back with a fresh star under the spotlight and a gleaming trophy awaiting its winner. Returning in honor of its original launch date, this comeback is all about second chances. We’re shining a light on 2024 nominees once again to celebrate March 2025’s RA Spotlight. Our nominees were AJAA, Yes My Love, G22, and YGIG. Each group was featured in RA Spotlight as Ppop continues to rise in the music industry. For the first week we have Ppop fans guess who are our March nominees. And we all know, Ppop fans, just like Kpop fans, know their groups very well. Hanies, 143, Bullets, and WeGo guessed their idols right.
Since we did a deep dive into these groups last year, for this cycle’s promotions we focus on featuring their fun little quirks— from MBTI’s to dislikes, thus the RA Spotlight Slambook has officially begun.
This Spotlight comeback is extra special because our nominees also had their own music comeback this March. We had the chance to chat with AJAA about their latest track, Dedma, and G22 with Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban. Check out their interviews by our writer, Joanna Deala.

At the same time, YGIG unveiled Project Y, highlighting their individual vocal talent as fans eagerly await their highly anticipated group comeback. Read all about it here:

After two weeks of voting, we’re thrilled to crown March’s RA Spotlight Artist of the Month—none other than Yes My Love.
Like the other groups, Yes My Love also returned this March with Coffee Date. We’re excited to dive into their creative process and hear their stories firsthand. As this month’s winners, they’ll take center stage as our Spotlight featured artists! Look forward to it.
