by RepublicAsia

MARK your calendars, “Queen of Tears” fans, as the queen makes her way to the Philippines on August 3!

South Korean actress Kim Ji-won, who recently played the role of Hong Hae-in in the hit Korean drama series “Queen of Tears,” is finally having her first Asian fan meet tour, “Be My One,” from June to August.

The fans’ cries to meet Ji-won in person have been heard by the actress’ agency, HighZium Studio, which announced on May 3 the superstar’s first-ever fan meet at Shinhan Card SOLPay Square Livehall on June 22.

“Queen of Tears” fans, after seeing the post, commented about their desire to see the actress and their hopes for a tour. Days later, the agency confirmed Ji-won’s fan meet outside of South Korea, and released yesterday the list of places where Ji-won is making a stop.

The “Be My One” tour kicks off at Shinhan Card SOLPay Square Livehall in Seoul on June 22, before the tour proper in July in Japan, where she is set to visit Osaka on July 7 and Tokyo on July 10; followed by Taipei on July 21.

Manila is going to be Ji-won’s first August stop on the third of the month, before heading over to Macau on August 17, Bangkok on August 24, and Jakarta on August 31.

Further details, including the venue and ticket prices for the actress’ Manila fan meet, have yet to be announced.

The “Queen of Tears” lead actress first had a career in the music industry before shifting to acting where she took part in notable K-dramas such as “The Heirs,” “Descendants of the Sun,” “Fight for My Way,” “Arthdal Chronicles,” “Lovestruck in the City,” and “My Liberation Notes.”

Her starring stint as department store heiress Hong Hae-in in “Queen of Tears” has earned her praises from across Asia and beyond. The series became tvN’s highest-rating drama of all time.

Meanwhile, her co-star Kim Soo-hyun will have his own fan meet on June 29 at the Araneta Coliseum. The actor last visited the country in January 2023.
