by Bryan Gadingan

EVERY Undas, horror stories and other spooky experiences are always expected to come out. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. can’t seem to let the trend pass as he posted a vlog titled ‘Mga Multo sa Malacañang’ on his YouTube channel yesterday.

On the vlog, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was joined by his son Sandro, where he shared some of his strange experiences he had while staying inside the Malacañang Palace.

Malacañang is known to be one of the oldest buildings in history of Philippines. According to the President’s vlog, it was established around the 1750s by Don Luis Rocha Camina.

The Malacañang Palace, what was once a summer house, undergo numerous refurbishments before it finally became what it looked like today.

On the first arrival of Pres. Bongbong Marcos at the Malacañang, he shared that his security used to sleep on floors of the Reception Hall where creepy experiences happened.

The President, after revisiting the history of the Palace, was able to find out that an American called ‘Father Brown’ once worked in the place during the American period. However, creepy part of it, Father Brown seemed to have stayed for good in the Palace.

Besides the experiences of the security guards, Pres. Bongbong has his own experience as well, “Minsan, gabing-gabi na, umuwi eh sinasara ko lang yung pintuan mula doon sa kwarto ko.

On the lighter side of things, the President’s reaction was priceless as he immediately ran out, while screaming, “May multo! May multo! May multo!” The security guards, however, were quick to assume that it’s just their pal Father Brown.

Another spot that he shared a story about was the formal stairs on the front door when entering the Palace.

Besides the President, numerous employees who have stayed working inside the Palace shared the same experience everytime they use said stairs.

Lito, who worked 41 years inside the Palace, shared that it is true and he also has the same experience like the President.

Talagang matatakot ka eh,” Lito said.

Undoubtedly, old buildings, houses, and other facilities like the Malacañang Palace, that stood tall for number of years and decades would have a rich number of horror stories.

Before ending the vlog, the President left a reminder to the whole nation, “Sa lahat po ng magbabakasyon o out of town ngayon, mag-ingat po tayo sa biyahe, panatilihing malinis ang ating mga sementeryo at ingatan ang inyong mga kagamitan.”

“Isang mataimtim at payapang Undas sa ating lahat,” says President Bongbong Marcos.
