ANOTHER Filipina beauty queen shone brightly on the global pageant stage.
Actress-beauty queen Xena Ramos made the Philippines proud with her fourth runner-up title at the Miss Global 2025 pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday, March 9.
Ramos was eyeing the country’s second Miss Global crown, which was first won by Shane Tormes in 2022.
The coveted title was given to Nhu Van Nguyen of Vietnam, who succeeded Ashley Melendez of Puerto Rico.
Keri-Ann Greenwood of Jamaica placed first runner-up, followed by Ediris Rivera Berrios of Puerto Rico as second runner-up, and Lindsay Lauren Becker of the USA as third runner-up.
In an Instagram story before the announcement of the winners, Ramos expressed her gratitude and how proud she was to represent the Philippines in the global beauty competition.
“The pageant is not over but I’m really just so happy with my performance and I carry this flag with so much pride, love, and honor,” she said.
“Thank you so much. Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat,” she added.
Ramos was wearing a sleek black gown with intricate gold and silver embellishments made by designer Daniel Manila. The evening gown represents a fusion of power, elegance, and Filipinos’ resilience.
The ensemble’s notable design was the Miss Global emblem, signifying Ramos as “a vessel” of the pageant’s mission: to empower women, embrace cultures, and embody the beauty within.
‘Another rank’ for the Philippines
On Facebook, organizers of the Miss Global Philippines pageant congratulated Ramos for obtaining the country “another rank” in the global tilt.
Last year, Philippine bet Louise Katrina Pearl Hung won the third runner-up title.
“You have not only won a crown but also the hearts and admiration of many,” it said.
“Your journey serves as an inspiration to all, reminding us that with passion, perseverance, and grace, anything is possible. Wear your crown with pride and continue to make an impact, spreading positivity and light wherever you go,” it added.
Filipinos and her fellow beauty queens, including Tormes, also congratulated Ramos on her Miss Global 2025 journey.
“Your hard work, dedication, and passion shined through every moment, and you truly made us all proud. You came prepared, you gave it your all, and that in itself is a WIN,” Tormes wrote in an Instagram story.
