P-pop Tourism Fiesta 2025 postponed due to STS Opong

by Joanna Deala

THE upcoming P-pop Tourism Fiesta, which was scheduled to feature several P-pop groups and student musicians, has been postponed due to Severe Tropical Storm Opong.

The Intramuros Administration (IA), the event’s organizer, announced on a Facebook post on Thursday that it had postponed the event, which was scheduled for Saturday, September 27, to ensure everyone’s safety.

The agency has yet to reveal a new schedule for the P-pop Tourism Fiesta.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, as your safety remains our priority,” the IA wrote in the caption.

“Intramuros Passports already purchased will remain valid for the new schedule,” it added.

The P-pop Tourism Fiesta is a culminating event that aims to highlight Philippine culture, music, and festivities.

P-pop groups HORI7ON, KAIA, and New:ID were tapped to headline the event’s P-pop concert at the Foro de Intramuros in Manila, with special performances from rising pop solo artist Hakki and P-pop girl group VIVID.

It would also feature four school bands from different Intramuros-based universities and colleges: Over the Counter from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Jadeville from Mapua University, Lunar Eyes from Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Letran Band from Colegio de San Juan de Letran.

The IA joined forces with the P-pop Music & Culture Caravan for the concert, with the support of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Moreover, the P-pop Tourism Fiesta would offer various interactive activities for attendees, including a series of free workshops about the country’s dance, music, fashion, culinary, and Baybayin.
