P-pop group G22 ready for 2025 comeback with ‘Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban’

P-POP’S Female Alphas will roar again in the music scene this year, with the forthcoming release of their newest single “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban.”

Girl group G22 announced its 2025 comeback on social media, unveiling a nine-second comeback teaser that showcased members AJ, Alfea, and Jaz dancing fiercely in their stilettos.

“ito na ang mga palaban,” G22 wrote.

The girls also reposted the teaser on their respective pages on X (formerly Twitter).

“Strutting into this NEW era,” said Jaz.

Alfea also asked their fans, commonly known as Bullets, how they were feeling when the comeback teaser dropped.

G22 has unveiled an upgraded metallic silver version of its logo, which it set as a new profile photo on social media platforms. On Instagram, the group included three red stiletto emojis in its bio.

G22 will drop “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” on all streaming platforms on March 7. It will be accompanied by a music video, to be released on March 9.

“Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” marks the group’s first song release this year. G22’s last song release was “I Hate Boys” in May 2024, which followed “One Sided Love” in April.

In an exclusive interview with republicasia last year, G22 shared how “One Sided Love” motivated them to become the “Female Alphas of Philippine Pop.”

‘Diva’ era

Meanwhile, many Bullets went gaga over the comeback teaser, with one saying this could be G22’s “diva” era.

“They will [definitely] slay this comeback, I’m sure of it!” the fan said on X.

Other fans were in awe of the trio’s visuals, saying they could also be models.

“Isa sa mga panlaban ko ‘pag usaping sobrang natural na mga latina walang halong kemikal na sobrang talented,” one netizen wrote. “Mga nagbabaga kayo.”

Stell Ajero of P-pop powerhouse SB19 and celebrity photographer BJ Pascual also reacted to the teaser.

G22 recently celebrated its third anniversary in the P-pop industry, debuting in February 2022 with its single “Bang.” The group also hit a new milestone as the newest brand ambassador of a K-pop and K-fashion brand in the Philippines.
