Budots supremacy

Budots is a style of electronic dance music that originated in the Philippines. It is distinguished by its upbeat speed, powerful bass, and characteristic, repeated rhythm, which frequently features catchy vocal samples.

The dance music began in Davao City, Philippines, in the early 2000s. A DJ created the genre by combining electronic dance music and local Filipino musical influences.

This is also why it swiftly gained popularity in the Philippines, particularly in urban areas and among youth, because to its addictive beats and distinct sound that makes everyone want to dance.

“Emergency”, a budots remix by DJ Johnrey of “Dr. Beat” has received hundreds of thousands of entries on the social media platform all around the world.

Rodrigo’s video on TikTok currently has 3.5 million views and hundreds of thousands of likes. How about you? Which notable Fil-Am performers are you most excited to watch perform this budots trend?
