After a successful campaign “Lead Like a Pro” last May, iACADEMY and Republic Asia brings to you the biggest names in content providers, mobile journalism and media personalities who will be giving out inspirational talks and tips of how to be the next influencer, as they are ready to answer questions from the hungry minds of the young generation.
NextUp is a workshop by journalists for the next journalists. The event, which will be held on October 27, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the iACADEMY Nexus Auditorium, prises an enlightening experience for digital advocates, industry professionals and aspiring content creators.
It is expected to delve into the world of digital news, and give aspiring journalists the much needed tips that they need to excel in online journalism.
NextUp will likewise revisit traditional media, its wisdom and how it can be carried further, to embrace and prepare for a more responsive and responsible digitized content creation and sharing.
“Journalism is moving as fast as the speed of the finger. Swipe, swipe, swipe. Information, a precious commodity should be presented in a factual and unique way. So as not to be just another run-of-the-mill content creator or journalist. We are here to help you stand out,” Republicasia Chief Executive Officer Bran Reluao said.
“That is because technology has revolutionized everything, paving the way for the ‘now’ generation to open their wings and fly their independence further,” he added.
NextUp will help young journalists and content creators i the dynamic landscape of the digital world, as it aims to provide attendees with invaluable insights and strategies to naviate the ever evolving terrain.

iACADEMY’s Chief Operating Officer Raquel Perez-Wong, is also a firm believer of the adaptation to the rapidly changing technological environment.
“We are at a pivotal moment i the evolution of digital media,” she said.
“With ‘NextUp,’ we are not just looking at the present challenges, but also at how we can set a strong foundation for responsible and responsive content creation. This event will be te catalyst for change in our industry,” she added.
NextUp has activities lined up including presentations, panel and roundtable discussions, and co-teach seminars where participants can directly learn from resource speakers.
