by Joanna Deala

MISS Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community, is celebrating Pride month with a new version of her debut single “REYNA.”

Star Music and Sparkle GMA Artist Center dropped a video teaser of the Pride version of the song on Instagram, featuring the beauty queen and actress donning a hot pink ensemble with red tights and a blonde bob haircut.

The clip showed Dee opening a pink door that led her to a vibrant neighborhood, where residents were in their colorful outfits.

“Celebrate Pride like never before!” the caption read.

The Pride version of “REYNA” will be released on Thursday, June 26, promising fans “a festive experience.”

Dee released “REYNA” on March 7, in time for the nation’s celebration of Women’s Month. Composed by Angelica Tagadtad, “REYNA” is an empowering track that encourages listeners to conquer self-doubt and be more confident in themselves.

The chorus part of the song’s original version goes: “Ako ay isang Reyna, Reyna, Reyna, Reyna / Nagniningning aking korona / Ako ay isang Reyna, Reyna, Reyna, Reyna / Lakas loob ang aking korona.”

The Sparkle artist also dropped a music video of the song, featuring her mom, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, and cousin, Miss Universe Philippines 2025 first runner-up Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez.

“REYNA” earlier placed 10th on Spotify’s “Viral 50 – Philippines” chart.
