MISS Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee is the newest star to join “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition!”
In an episode of the hit reality show on Saturday, the 29-year-old Kapuso actress was announced as Big Brother’s newest house guest, removing her gold cloak beside “PBB” hosts Robi Domingo, Enchong Dee, Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, Gabbi Garcia, Alexa Ilacad, and Mavy Legaspi.
Dee, who concluded her Miss Universe journey in the Top 10, expressed confidence in facing challenges from Big Brother during her stay in his house.
“I just have an assumption that it’s really about the mentality of how I went through pageantry, the independence, dealing with a loss, especially ngayon na may na-evict,” she said.
She continued, “You don’t have to win to come out a winner.”
Dee was the next house guest to enter the “PBB” house, following Garcia who spent four days with the official housemates. Legaspi and content creator Ivana Alawi also entered Bahay ni Kuya as house guests.
Before joining the reality show, Dee dropped an empowering track called “Reyna” in March 2025, in time for the country’s celebration of Women’s Month. Composed by Angelica Tagadtad, “Reyna” is about conquering self-doubt and encouraging individuals to be more confident in themselves.
Dee dropped a music video of “Reyna” on Saturday, featuring her mom, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, and cousin, Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez. Winwyn will compete in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant, representing Muntinlupa City.
AcLey’s eviction
When Dee mentioned some housemates got evicted from the “PBB” house, she was referring to AC Bonifacio and Ashley Ortega, also known as “AcLey.”
Bonifacio and Ortega were the first evictees of this season, garnering only 17.25 percent of votes to save.
Instead of the single nominees in the previous “PBB” editions, the housemates in the “PBB Celebrity Collab Edition” are nominated and evicted in pairs.
Duos Will-River and Michael-Ralph were saved from the first eviction night.
In an Instagram story, Legaspi expressed how proud he is of his girlfriend, Ortega.
“I am so happy the people got to know you better… and they love you!” the “PBB” host said.
“PBB Celebrity Edition Collab” airs on weekdays at 10 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 p.m. on GMA Prime. It is also available via live streams on “PBB’s” YouTube page, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWantTFC.
