THE Burrow is about to be full as HBO’s Harry Potter Series reveals most of the new cast to play the Weasley family.
On August 19, the network unveiled the actors set to play Ron Weasley’s siblings through a social media post.
Twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland, both of whom appeared in the Netflix series The Last Kingdom, will portray the mischievous Fred and George Weasley.
Ruari Spooner, recently seen in the short film Syncopation, takes on the role of the straight-backed prefect Percy Weasley.
Gracie Cochrane — who appeared in the Apple TV+ film Blitz — has been cast as Ginny Weasley, the family’s only daughter and Harry Potter’s eventual love interest.
Meanwhile Charlie Weasley, Ron’s older brother who is a dragon expert, is yet to be cast. But HBO hinted that it will reveal the actor soon.
“Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough,” it captioned.
Two other Weasleys are expected to be cast soon, including family patriarch Arthur Weasley — with Katherine Parkinson already confirmed as Molly — and the eldest son Bill, who joins the fight against Voldemort and the Death Eaters in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
While HBO has yet to confirm a specific premiere day, the network has slated the Harry Potter reboot for a 2027 launch, with multiple seasons planned to roll out across the following years.
