STREAMING platform Max is set to reach Southeast Asian audience by the end of 2024 as reported by Warner Bros. Discovery.
By the end of this year, Max will be replacing the existing HBO Go services.
According to the APAC for Warner Bros. Discovery, president James Gibbons–Max is set to debut in several Asian markets including the countries of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the region of South East Asia.
Meanwhile, the streaming platform is set to make its way to Australia in the first half of 2025.
During the APOS media, telecoms, and entertainment industry conference held in Bali, Indonesia–Gibbons announced that Max will be launched in the “coming weeks and months,” in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
He also shared that their goal is to reach the fan base and to find a route to market for the fan base.
Max, formerly known as HBO Max was first launched in May 2020 in the United States. Max offers contents from Warner Bros., HBO, Cartoon Network, Discovery, Animal Planet, Adult Swin, and others.
Meanwhile in the region of Asia, TV series and films under the program of HBO are streamed through HBO Go. This streaming platform is available in Philippine, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan.
