FILIPINO talents continue to gain more international attention, as singer-songwriter Maki and P-pop groups SB19, BINI, HORI7ON, and BGYO scored nominations at the BreakTudo Awards 2025.

Founded in 2016, the Brazil-based award-giving body recognizes “both established names and emerging talents in entertainment and pop culture,” according to its website.

The BreakTudo Awards revealed the complete list of its 2025 nominees on Tuesday, September 9, featuring Brazilian and other foreign artists.

Maki, who is behind the hit song “Dilaw,” is nominated under the Asian Artist category.

The Gen Z singer-songwriter is up against Jackson Wang of K-pop boy group GOT7, Thai singer-actor Jeff Satur, J-Hope of K-pop boy group BTS, Jisoo of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, Taiwanese singer JOLIN, Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI, and South Korean singer Wonho.

Meanwhile, SB19—composed of Pablo, Felip, Josh Cullen, Justin, and Stell—earned two nominations: International Male Group and International Music Video for “DAM,” the lead single in the quintet’s third extended play (EP) “Simula at Wakas.”

BINI—composed of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Maloi, Mikha, Sheena, and Stacey—got three nominations: International Female Group, International Collaboration of the Year for “Blink Twice – Dos Veces Remix” featuring Belinda, and International Fandom of the Year for BLOOMs.

HORI7ON—composed of Jeromy, Kim, Kyler, Marcus, Reyster, Vinci, and Winston—is nominated under the Song by New International Artist category for their 2025 single “COLD.”

BGYO—composed of Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate—is among the  International Artist on the Rise nominees.

Fans can support their favorite artists by voting at the BreakTudo awards’ official website, from September 10 to October 10.

Winners will be announced during the BreakTudo Awards 2025 ceremony on November 18, which will be broadcast worldwide via Telemilênio’s YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, several nominated Filipino artists and their respective agencies shared the news about their international nominations on X (formerly Twitter).

“Ang random thank [you] po,” said Maki.

Meanwhile, Star Music, BINI and BGYO’s record label, encouraged fans to vote for their favorite idols at the BreakTudo Awards 2025.

Last year, BINI took home two BreakTudo recognitions: the International Breakthrough Artist award and the International Music Video award for “Cherry On Top.”

Meanwhile, SB19 and BGYO bagged the Best International Male Group award and Song By New International Artist award for “Patintero,” respectively.
